The run up to the summer holidays was a busy time for our installation team, with four new uBizEE companies setting up in schools across the North in May, June and July.

Sally Haworth, Smithills' work-related learning and enterprise manager accepted the award for best School Enterprise at the Bolton and Bury Business Awards.

Printzone is the print shop setup and run by the students of Smithills, which produces print for local businesses, individuals, and the school itself.

Smithills school recently attained a rating of Outstanding from Ofstead.  Judith Straw, the lead inspector said that she "couldn't recall inspecting a better secondary school for Citizenship" To help celebrate the fantastic result, this banner was printed using Smithills own uBiz Enterprise Education Centre:

On the 9th November the Marriott Worsley Park Hotel and Country Club in Manchester was the stage of the first ever National Enterprise in Special Education Conference for education professionals.
